U.S. company interested in buying Hummer

Concern General Motors declared the beginning of the gradual elimination of brand Hummer, but a buyer for her still there. As reported by The Car Connection citing informed sources, the U.S. company Raser Technologies has twice made the GM offer to acquire loss-making brand. For the first time the proposal was rejected in favor of the application from the Chinese Sichuan Tengzhong, but then negotiations have been terminated due to the fact that China's regulators have not approved the transaction. After that Raser Technologies has made a second proposal. Its details were not disclosed, but it is known that the sum of the failed deal with the Chinese company was around $ 150 million.

Located in Utah, Raser Technologies is engaged in environmentally friendly energy sources, in particular, the use of geothermal waters. If she could buy a Hummer, then transforms it into a "green" brand. In 2009, the company created a prototype of a hybrid Hummer H3, one of the test drivers who became Governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger.
